Program Structure
The College offers full-time and part-time hospitality and tourism management, specialization, and skills training programs that meet the needs of students seeking higher professional education and of working adults who require professional training and certification.
The College seeks to realize its mission by delivering relevant programs that meet the demand for professionals in the hospitality and tourism industry, and by pursuing excellence, creating optimum conditions for effective learning, and establishing links with local and international hospitality and tourism organizations.
The contents and rationale of the programs are determined jointly by the College and industry representatives. This collaborative effort has resulted in the delivery of competent graduates.
International Education and Holistic Approach
The College provides educational programs with international content while responding to local requirements and interests as well. A variety of training methods and learning activities are used to encourage teamwork and to ensure successful completion of the programs.
In order to meet the increasing and changing customer demand in the hospitality and tourism industry the College entered into educational partnership agreements with the American Hotel and Lodging Educational Institute (AHLEI) and the American Hospitality Academy (AHA).
The AHLEI provides a variety of internationally recognized management and practical skills training certificate courses for the hospitality industry, and the AHA is a provider of online management certificate courses and international internship and exchange programs specifically designed for the hospitality industry in a multicultural world.
The educational methods used by the College encourage teamwork and ensure successful completion of the programs. The development of humanitarian values, intercultural understanding, communicating in multiple languages, critical thinking skills, and experiential learning prepares the students to function effectively in a globally interdependent and culturally diverse world.
• On-line Learning and Blended Learning
The College offers degree programs using the traditional classroom learning format, as well as programs using the online and blended learning format to keep pace with the innovations in education and to offer working adults the opportunity to further their education.
As both face-to-face and online communication between learners and educators are combined in the courses and the lectures and discussions are extended beyond the classroom, the social dynamic sense of connection among students and faculty is retained.
Experiential Learning
In addition to the classroom-delivered skills training courses the degree programs include special events, internships, research and social projects, and local and international field trips including learning on site. This field experience exposes the students to the practical aspects of business enabling them to enhance their academic and practical experience and increase their research capabilities, which will contribute to their personal and social growth and ensure future success and career development. Our students help create new tourism products and foster intercultural understanding by organizing festivals and special events initiated by the College, such as the Ethnic Food and Cultural Festival, and the Wine and Ethnic Tapas Fair, including multicultural variety shows, and cultural and heritage displays.
