Program Description



This bachelor degree program prepares students for middle level management positions in the hospitality and tourism industry by providing the kind of education needed for tomorrow’s managers. It involves both online and face-to-face classroom learning as well as training on site. It comprises business, management and development courses that include field experience to expose students to the practical aspects of hospitality and tourism management. This enhances their academic as well as their professional experience and contributes to their personal and social growth. The program is further enhanced by special events and research projects to contribute to the development of new tourism products. The last phase of this degree program focuses on conducting quantitative and qualitative field research change management to solve business challenges, and entrepreneurship development to set up their own businesses.




Certificates



Students who pass the final exams for the AHLEI and AHA certificate courses on the bachelor’s degree curriculum will receive a Certificate of Completion for each of these courses.




Graduation Requirements



The International Hospitality and Tourism College awards the Bachelor of Science Degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management to students who:

• Meet the College’s academic standards;

• Complete a 6-month internship;

• Complete a minimum of 129 semester credit hours including 9 credits for internship towards graduation.




Academic Minors



Academic Minors can be obtained together with a Bachelor’s Degree. A minor enhances the value of the student’s major. Many employers are looking for employees who are specialized in a specific sector, and they are often willing to pay such individuals more than the salary generally offered.
